Due to use of DaVinci processor, the STS-IPTX181 IP video server supports H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG compression methods. The video server provides video streaming with up to 720х576 resolution at 25 fps. The model supports simultaneous transmission of two independent video streams with different codecs, resolutions, frame rates and compression levels.

External Device Connection
The STS-IPTX181 is equipped with BNC connector for analog camera. Via loop-through BNC connector the IP video server can output video to other devices. The STS-IPTX181 features USB 2.0 port and microSD memory card slot which allows the operator to connect external storage devices. Activation of data recording to memory card can be configured in event mode (alarm input activation, communication loss). After reconnection, remote viewing of recorded video is possible. USB support allows the operator to connect IP video server to wireless networks, using Wi-Fi adapter.

The STS-IPTX181 supports two-way audio transmission with external microphone and speaker.  2 alarm inputs and outputs allow the operator to connect alarm sensors and remote devices, and their operation is configurable via video server’s Web menu.

Centralized Monitoring & Recording Software
To implement IP video surveillance systems of any scale with Smartec video cameras, we recommend you to use products of the following open software developers: Milestone System, Alnet Systems, Mirasys and Codestaff Limited.

All IP video server settings are accessible via direct connection to MS Internet Explorer after authorization.

PTZ Control
The STS-IPTX181 IP video server is equipped with RS-485/422 ports, allowing the server to control PTZ cameras, and support most of the popular PTZ protocols: Pelco-D, Pelco-P, etc. RS-232C port can be used for connection of terminal equipment. Protocol and port settings are selectable via Web-menu during video server setup.

Video Server Mounting
Special mounting holes are provided on STS-IPTX181 housing for surface mounting of IP video server. Due to small size, video server fits into outdoor housing, e.g., STH-5230D-PSU2, for outdoor operation. The STS-IPTX181 design allows for both surface and DIN rail mounting.

VCA Video Analytics
The STS-IPTX181 features basic VCA Presence video analytics package, which allows the server to detect object presence in video surveillance zone. Advanced video analytics features are provided by optional VCA Surveillance package, which permits to classify objects by size (man, car, etc.), detect movement direction, object stopping or loitering, count the number of objects, estimate speed of object motion, detect abandoned and removed objects, etc.
