Due to the technical features, the STR-0874 DVR is an ideal for small and mid-sized video surveillance systems with high reliability and video quality requirements. The DVR allows to perform simultaneous video recording, live viewing, and networking. Recording settings, including resolution, are configurable per individual channel. For ease of operation, the DVR offers video search by date, time, or event. The DVR is supplied with IR remote control.
H.264 Support
The DVR features the most effective H.264 compression method, providing 80% bit rate reduction compared to M-JPEG, and 40% compared to MPEG-4. Therefore, H.264 ensures maximum recording time without compromising image quality, as well as maximum video transmission rate over the network.
High Recording Rate
The STR-0874 is capable to provide recording of 8 video inputs at 200 ips with 352х288 resolution. For higher quality recording you can select 720х288 or 720х576 resolution. Video is recorded to SATA HDDs (2 SATA HHDs are supported). Video also can be backed up to external USB drives or DVD/CD via DVD-RW.
PTZ Control
RS-232C and RS-485 interfaces allow to remotely control PTZ cameras from DVR front panel, IR remote control, USB mouse, or STT-CN3R1 remote PTZ controller. PTZ cameras can also be controlled remotely from RMS Software.
Spot Monitor Output
In addition to main monitor output (VGA, BNC), the DVR is equipped with Spot output, used to connect a monitor for real time alarm video viewing or sequencing. For sensor and alarm device connection, the DVR offers 4 alarm inputs and 1 alarm output.
Recorded video retention
S.M.A.R.T support allows performing continuous monitoring of hard disk drives used for video storage. If there is a threat of disk drive failure (overheating or damage), the system will warn the operator in good time.
Remote Viewing The
STR-0874 is bundled with RMS software, allowing to view the DVR’s video remotely from any PC on the network. The software features all functions, required to view live or archived video and provide remote setup of the DVR. Remote access to the STR-0874 is also supported via Web-browser or Mobile Client from various devices, including Blackberry, iPhone, palmtop with Windows Mobile 5 / 6, etc.
