Real time video and audio recording
The STR-1690 supports real time synchronous recording of 16 video and 16 audio channels at 25 ips per channel, providing outsatnding recording quality with horizontal resolution of about 500 TVL.
Hot-swappable HDDs
Due to SATA support and 4 detachable HDD racks, the DVR allows quick hard disk replacement without power turning off. Each of the HDDs can be used both for continuous (original) recording, and for archiving video segments clipped from the original recording. For high security applications, the DVR also offers mirroring capability.
For archive expansion, you can use SCSI port to connect external RAID arrays. The DVRs also support video/audio backup to built-in DVD-RW, as well as to external USB storage.
Motion detection and Camera Obscuration / Video Blind detection, Left object detection
Similar to STR-1681/0882/1682, the STR-1690 features advanced motion detection including retrospective video analysis, and Camera Obscuration / Video Blind detection. In addition, for unattended (lost) object search (museum mode), Operator can specify search zone, start and stop time, sensitivity and other settings.
Recorded video retention
SMART support allows to perform continuous monitoring of the hard disk drives used for video storage. If there is a threat of disk drive failure (overheating or damage), the system will warn the operator in advance, helping to avoid any loss of valuable data.
Remote control and PTZ
Via RS-232/RS-485 interfaces you can control the DVR remotely from Smartec keyboard controllers, control PTZ cameras from the DVR, or connect the DVR with ATM/POS terminals.
RAS+ Remote Administration Software
Remote administration software is supplied with the DVR.
