The STR-0488 DVRs allow to perform simultaneous video recording, live viewing, and networking. Recording settings, are configurable per individual channel. For ease of operation, the DVRs offer video search by date, time, event, text, as well as calendar search.
The STR-0488 DVRs are supplied with IR remote controller duplicating front-panel buttons. The DVRs are easy to operate by USB mouse or from STT-CN3R1 remote keyboard controller.
H.264 Support
The DVRs feature the most effective H.264 compression method, providing 80% bit rate reduction compared to M-JPEG, and 40% compared to MPEG-4. Therefore, H.264 ensures maximum recording time without compromising image quality, as well as maximum video transmission rate over the network.
High Recording Rate
The STR-0488s are capable to provide recording of 4 video inputs at 100 ips (CIF). For higher quality recording you can select 2CIF or D1 resolution. The STR-0488s record video to built-in SATA HDD. Video can be backed up to DVDs via built-in DVD-RW, to external USB flash memory, or remotely via NEMON software.
PTZ Control and POS/ATM Integration
RS-232 or RS-485 interface can be used for remote PTZ control from the DVR and for POS/ATM connection. The STR-0488 support PTZ control using front panel buttons, IR remote controller, or STT-CN3R1 remote keyboard controller, as well as from NEMON software. Text data received from POS/ATM can be used for search of recorded video.
Audio Recording and Transmission
The STR-0488s provide audio transmission, recording and playback for each video channel. NEMON software allows to arrange two-way audio connection with remote DVR.
Spot Monitor Output
Besides main monitor outputs (VGA and BNC) the DVRs are equipped with additional Spot output, used to connect a monitor for real time alarm video viewing. For sensor and alarm device connection, each STR-0488 offers 4 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs.
Remote Viewing
The STR-0488s are bundled with NEMON remote video monitoring software. Operator gets remote access to all functions, required to view live or archived video and to monitor events. Remote STR-0488 configuration is also supported. For remote access to STR-0488, you can also use Web browser.
