Due to high performance and functionality, STR-0474 4-ch DVR is efficient solution for small and medium-size CCTV systems with high demands for recording quality. It can perform simultaneously recording, viewing streaming video, and data transfer over the network. Herewith DVR allows the operator to adjust the recording settings individually for each of 4 channels. For the convenience of the operator, new model enables using search algorithms based on Date, Time and Event.

H.264 video codec support
This 4-ch model uses H.264 compression, which effectively converts video information, allowing DVR to reduce the bit rate up to 80% in comparison with M-JPEG format and up to 40% - with MPEG-4. Transmitting H.264 video streams, 4-ch DVR provides optimal disk space usage and high-speed file transfer.

Resolution and recording speed rate selection
STR-0474 can record video from analog cameras at 25 fps with up to 720x288 (pix.) resolution for each channel. To ensure a higher quality recording DVR allows the operator to set recording with Full D1 (720x576 pix.) resolution at up to 50 fps of a total speed rate. It is also available to back up video information on external USB-drives or DVD/CD with using optional DVD-RW drive. In addition, 4-ch DVR can operate with two SATA HDDs, installation of which has slots inside the case.

PTZ-cameras operation control
Due to RS-485 and RS-232, this DVR supports PTZ-cameras operation control via front panel buttons, IR remote control, USB-mouse or an external telemetry keyboard, for example, STT-CN3R1. For each of the 4 PTZ cameras STR-0474 allows the operator to select appropriate telemetry protocol, including Pelco P and D. In addition, 4-ch DVR with RMS software allows the operator to control PTZ-cameras operation remotely over the network.

Main and Spot video outputs
In addition to the main video output (VGA, BNC), 4-ch model is equipped with a Spot video output for monitor connection, which provides monitor’s configuration, alarm video transmission or viewing alarm images from CCTV cameras. To connect external alarm sensors and executive devices, 4-ch DVR has 4 inputs and 1 alarm output.

HDD monitoring
STR-0474 supports S.M.A.R.T. protocol, allowing the operator to monitor operational status of the HDDs, which is used for recording of the video information from four connected security cameras. In case of HDD malfunction (caused by overheating or failure), 4-ch DVR will alert security operator.

Software for remote monitoring and configuration
STR-0474 is bundled with RMS professional software, providing remote access to 4-ch model and its configuration over the network using a standard PC. This software features all the functions required for video viewing (current and archive), remote DVR configuration and PTZ-cameras operation control. Remote access to STR-0474 is also available via standard Web browser or a mobile client via BlackBerry, iPhone, PDA with Windows Mobile 5/6, etc. In addition, upon RMS installation on the multiple networked computers, each 4-ch DVR will provide multi-user access with 5 simultaneous users per channel.
