The STC-3518 day/night dome camera is built with Sony’s latest Effio image processor and Sony Double-Speed (double scan) 960H CCD and is ideal for video surveillance in high-contrast lighting environment. It generates 680/700 TVL color/B-W images with high level of detail. The camera is equipped with aspheric varifocal 2.8–10.5 mm auto iris lens.
Vandal Proof & Weather Proof Design
The STC-3518 is supplied in vandal proof dome-shaped housing. Rugged metal body and polycarbonate dome cover withstand maximum impacts of up to 656 kgf and allow to install the camera at facilities with high risk of vandalism.
Built-in heater and IP66-rated protection allow to install the camera outdoors, with operating temperature range from -40°С to +50°С.
Ideal Solution for Backlight Environment
Double-scan CCD and WDR (х510) feature allow the STC-3518 to provide 54 dB super high dynamic range and generate high quality video even in strong backlight environment, compensating image defects by decreasing the brightness of the bright areas and showing detail in the dark areas.
Effective Noise Reduction Mechanisms
The STC-3518 uses 2D and 3D DNR noise reduction mechanisms that reduce image noise in dim light. In addition to better visual perception, it allows to save DVR disk space when recording video. 2D DNR uses directional noise reduction filter, while 3D DNR utilizes time filter analyzing adjacent frames and eliminating distortion and most noises in the resulting image.
Operation in Low Light Environment
The STC-3518 minimum illumination level is 0.1 Lux in day mode and 0.08 Lux in night mode. In extremely low-light environment, the camera can use frame integration feature, allowing to increase information value of the image by changing shutter speed according to selected ration. Minimum illumination level in this mode can reach 0.0001 Lux.
Programmable Day/Night Mode and Electronic Shutter
The camera automatically switches between Day and Night modes when it detects the preset luminance threshold or according to schedule. Special external output is provided for synchronization of day to night switching between the camera and the infrared LED illuminator. In addition, there is a possibility to change electronic shutter speed for daytime and nighttime according to schedule.
