High resolution of the camera is provided by Sony SuperHAD CCD with DSP HQ1 digital processor, supporting digital processing of analog video. For full operation under various lighting conditions (up to 0.08 lux) color CCTV camera utilizes auto electronic shutter, auto white balance and Easy "Day-Night" function.
Easy camera installation
For simple installation new color CCTV camera is equipped with DIP-switches, allowing installer to select the required operating modes and functions: automatic gain control (AGC), external sync, flickerless/backlight compensation and electronic shutter operation.
New color CCTV camera is supplied with C/CS mount and supports lens with auto iris (AI) that is operated by video or DC signals. STC-3002 also provides comfortable back focus configuring carried out with the adjustment ring on the rear panel of the camera.
Backlight compensation
If the monitoring object is located on the bright light, CCD will generate image with a dark silhouette against the bright background. Smartec STC-3002 color CCTV camera features backlight compensation function and can prevent such effect creating an informative color image of the object, even if it is located on the bright light.
Video camera sync in multichannel CCTV system
If the security system consists of multiple cameras with color video image displayed on one monitor, it is recommended to synchronize all the cameras on a single core camera to prevent image scrolling when switching channels. Smartec STC-3002 color CCTV camera utilizes method of synchronization based on power supply frequency (Line Lock) that allows installer to carry out automatic synchronization of color cameras connected to one phase.
Flickerless compensation
If the camera operates on the object with fluorescent lamps, the frequency of light source flicker can coincide with the electronic shutter speed. In this case, color image from the camera starts to flicker. Unlike many analogues STC-3002 color CCTV camera can prevent this effect.
Camera modifications
Product line of Smartec STC-3002 series includes two models that differ by the type and value of the voltage. Thus STC-3002/0 color CCTV camera operates using 220 VAC while STC-3002/3 - 12 V DC or 24 V AC. In addition Smartec STC-3002/0 is recommended for outdoor operation if it is used with thermal housing.
