Due to 1/3 MPix Sony ExViewHAD Progressive Scan CCD, STC-IPM3096A features higher performance than similar megapixel models with CMOS sensors. For example, this network IP camera has a higher sensitivity (0.003 lux), improved S/N ratio and superior color rendering. In addition, IP camera allows the operator to scale the digital image in real-time mode and can also operate in the network security systems on the applications with high requirements for image quality (banks, airports, shopping centers, etc.).

Simultaneous video transmission in MPEG-4/M-JPEG
STC-IPM3096A can transmit up to two video streams simultaneously in M-JPEG/MPEG-4 formats, allowing the operator to adjust the image quality according to the network bandwidth. In M-JPEG IP camera transmits video with up to SXVGA resolution and the ability to choose compression degree: Low, High or Middle. Using MPEG-4 format, the operator can set VGA or QVGA at up to 25 fps. In this case, network IP camera can transmit video with up SXVGA (1280x960 pixels) resolution over the network at up to 15 fps. When configuring double-stream transmission, megapixel stream will be optimal for archive recording, while video stream with VGA or QVGA – for real-time video surveillance, recording on SD-card or transmission over low-speed network systems.

24-hour video surveillance at up to 0.003 lux
Removable IR cut filter provides 24-hour video surveillance in low light conditions. Herewith network IP camera allows the operator to choose one of three levels of illumination under which it will automatically switch between Day/Night modes. To exclude short-term IP camera switching between Day/Night modes (caused by headlights of cars etc), the operator of network video system can set switching delay time of 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds.

To improve image quality in low light operation, the operator can use Slow Shutter mode, which enables IP camera to select frame accumulation rate (up to 4 seconds). In addition, network IP camera can generate clear images even in zero light conditions, if the monitoring object is under direct light of IR illuminator. To synchronize the activation of the IR illuminator and network camera switching the operator can use special external input.

Easy installation and remote management
STC-IPM3096A is connected to the network system via a standard Ethernet 10/100Base-T port. Herewith access to all camera settings is password protected. Due to built-in web server, network IP camera enables real-time video surveillance using a network PC with a standard Web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)

Professional software for deploying network CCTV systems
For deployment of the full-featured IP security system the operator can use special NetStation software, supporting 64 video channels (with the ability of their extension). This software provides real-time video surveillance, archive recording, search and playback of the recorded information, network system management and PTZ-cameras control. Using NetStation the operator can search for video clips in the archives by motion, Date and Time as well as to configure network cameras and create graphical plan of the monitoring objects. In addition, this network IP camera can operate with XProtect Enterprise software by Milestone Company.

2-way audio communication and video recording on SD-card
STC-IPM3096A is equipped with audio I/O for the external microphone/active speaker connection and organization of 2-way audio communication between the monitoring area and the operator of network system. Another advantage of STC-IPM3096A is its SD memory slot and 2GB SD card, allowing network IP camera to record information without using any additional devices. In the cyclic overwriting mode IP camera records alarm video and pre-alarm frames on SD-card, providing effective CCTV operation.

Different types of installation and power supply
IP camera power supply is performed directly from AC/DC sources with 12/24 V or using PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology. PoE allows the operator to reduce installation time, as well as the cost of the power cord and its lining. With optional brackets network IP camera can be installed both on horizontal and vertical surfaces. When using STC-IPM3096A on the outdoor applications, it should be placed in the protective housings, whose selection is dependent on operating conditions.

Configuration of the IP-camera alarm reactions
Due to hardware motion detection and possibility to connect the external security sensors, STC-IPM3096A can perform security functions on the application. Camera motion detector allows the operator to configure one of three sensitivity levels and set detection areas, using 8x6 grid. In order to avoid false detection of network camera, the operator can specify delay time of its response (1-60 sec.). Upon receiving an alarm signal from motion detector or security sensor, network IP camera can start video recording on a PC, network DVR or SD-card, activate the external executive device via alarm output and send a notification of the alarm event with the corresponding frames on the specified e-mails or FTP server.
