Unlike many analogues, this megapixel IP-camera utilizes 1.3 Mpix. Sony ExViewHAD CCD with progressive scan that allows camera to improve such characteristics, as minimum illumination, S/N ratio, color rendering, etc. The megapixel video resolution provides high-quality operation of STC-IPM3095A in IP-video systems with special requirements for detailed images. In addition, digital zoom function helps the operator to increase the necessary parts of the image, ensuring clear overall monitoring of the application.
Setting up resolution and speed of video streams Smartec megapixel IP-camera transmits video in SXVGA (1280х960 pix.) resolution at up to 15 fps, whereas in VGA (640x480 pix.) or QVGA (320x240 pix.) transmission speed will increase up to 25 fps. In this case, megapixel video information in M-JPEG can be used for archive storage, while video with lower resolution in MPEG-4 is expedient for transmitting to remote users on low-speed IP-channels or recording it on external media.
Improving image quality STC-IPM3095A can automatically adjust image brightness by controlling megapixel lens aperture and electronic shutter speed. In this case, electronic shutter speed of IP-camera can be fixed in the range from 1/25 to 1/10000. Security operator can also set up the automatic adjustment of electronic shutter speed, according to the level of illumination. Due to the backlight compensation, megapixel IP-camera will transmit detailed image even in bright backlight. To improve image quality in all light conditions below 0.4 lux, operator can activate Slow Shutter that allows IP-camera automatically select slow shutter mode (up to 4 sec.).
Megapixel video transmission in MPEG-4/M-JPEG Network camera can transmit simultaneously two video streams in MPEG-4/M-JPEG that allows the operator to optimize image quality and use resources of the IP-channel. In M-JPEG it is available all IP-cameras resolutions with ability to select one of three levels of video compression: Low, Middle or High. For MPEG-4 megapixel IP-camera allows the operator to set VGA/QVGA resolutions and throughput ranging from 10 to 25 fps. In addition, MPEG-4 enables using multicast video transmission for an unlimited number of users.
Management software for STC-IPM3095A operation and video transmission Like all Smartec network cameras, this megapixel IP-camera is equipped with a web server that enables the operator to view video on any PC through a standard web browser. For deployment of a multi-channel IP-video system based on STC-IPM3095A it is recommended to use NetStation software for processing of up to 64 channels (expandable). This software allows remote monitoring, recording of megapixel video in the archive, search and playback, as well as PTZ-cameras operation management.
Automatic switching between Day and Night modes Easy Day/Night mode provides stable STC-IPM3095A operation under different light conditions. When setting Color or BW modes megapixel IP-camera will transmit only color or b/w images respectively. At the same time, STC-IPM3095A allows the operator to set manually the lighting level at which Smartec IP-camera will automatically switch between color and b/w modes.
To prevent accidental switching between Day and Night modes new megapixel IP-camera enables delay time selection, ranging from 5 to 30 seconds. This option is used, for example, to avoid Color mode switching, caused by car lights.
IP-camera reactions to the alarms signals STC-IPM3095A is supplied with hardware motion detector and alarm input for connecting external security sensors. Upon receiving signals from motion detector or external sensors this megapixel IP-camera may respond according to the pre-set security algorithms. Hardware motion detector has a 8x6 detection grid and three levels of sensitivity. Smartec network camera responds to the alarm signals of more than 100 ms. If necessary, operator can select camera delay time in the range from 1 to 60 sec. When receiving an alarm signal from a detector or security sensor megapixel IP-camera can start recording to NVR or SD-card, as well as activate the external device or send an alarm notification to the pre-set e-mails or FTP- server.
Two-way audio and camera power supply STC-IPM3095A offers installer two ways of power supply: directly from 12/24V AC/DC sources or using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. Due to PoE support, megapixel IP-camera can be powered by the same cable that transmits video streams. In many cases, it reduces installation time of IP-camera, as well as eliminates the cost of a separate power supply wires. Due to the audio I/O, megapixel camera can provide two-way audio communication between the operator and the application.
SD-card usage Built-in SD-card slot and supplied 2 GB SD-card allow the operator to record information directly from the IP-camera without using additional network devices. Security operator can also record alarm video and pre- and post video streams. In this case, IP-megapixel camera enables adjusting of SD-card cyclic rewriting as well as back up of the information, transmitted to the FTP-server (in case of server malfunction).
