STR-1685 uses H.264 video codec that provides high quality images, significant disk space saving and transmission of video information over the networks with limited bandwidth. In addition to the built-in HDD, H.264 DVR can be equipped with 2 additional hard drives for extending security system archive. If necessary, DVR allows the operator to back up video fragments on USB-drives or DVD/CD discs through the built-in DVD-RW.
Recording, search and video playback functions
STR-1685 can simultaneously record, view current images from CCTV cameras and transmit video over the network. For operator convenience H.264 DVR provides 4 recording modes, and various searching algorithms: Date and Time, Event, Calendar. It allows the operator to configure the recording parameters for each channel and also supports multi-frame video viewing (1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 16 frames). For DVR configuring the operator can use front panel buttons, remote control and STT-CN3R1 external keyboard.
Multiple video recording modes and 4 audio channels
Choosing the best recording mode can be carried out by setting up one of several modes: Continuous (cyclic) mode, Event (motion detection, alarm input activation) mode, standard/alarm combination mode as well as emergency recording. In addition, H.264 DVR provides 4 audio channels and with the ability to establish 2-way audio communication between the operator and monitoring object, using NEMON software.
Quality settings and STR-1685 recording speed
Digital video recorder allows the operator to connect up to 16 analog cameras and H.264 video recording at up to 200 fps on all channels. CCTV operator can also select the video resolution - from 352x288 pixels (CIF) up to 720x576 pixels (Full D1). If necessary, H.264 DVR will provide the ability to customize recording speed and video quality for each channel.
PTZ-cameras operation control and integration with POS/ATM terminals
Like 8ch DVRs, STR-1685/H.264 video recorders are equipped with RS-485 interface and support Pelco P&D protocols and allow the operator to control PTZ-cameras operation using front panel buttons, STT-CN3R1 external keyboard or remote control (supplied). In addition, the operator can also connect H.264 DVR to POS/ATM terminals and back up terminal information on its HDD.
Remote operation control and monitoring
STR-1685 is supplied with NEMON software for remote video monitoring over the network. Using this software, the operator can utilize all DVR features for viewing video in H.264, archive and event monitoring. The operator can also view current video, adjust H.264 DVR settings, carry out PTZ-cameras control and copy video fragments to the hard drive. It is also possible to access STR-1685 through the standard Web-browser without purchasing and installation of additional software.
Deploying of distributed CCTV systems
The operator can deploy expandable CCTV systems, based on STR-1685 and NEMON management software. For system expanding, all H.264 DVRs are connected to LAN Ethernet, whereas administration, viewing current video and archive video playback are carried out from a network PC with NEMON software. NEMON also provides video transmission in H.264 format from 64 analog cameras simultaneously.
Interfaces for external devices connection
Using 4 USB ports, the operator can connect a computer mouse and external hard drives for archive information backup. In addition, H.264 DVR features 16 alarm inputs and 4 (2 relays and 2 TTL) outputs, which can be used for external security sensors and executive devices connection. Alarm security sensors can generate an alarm message, send E-mail notification or transmit alarm video on the Spot-monitor.
